Overview

On May 7th, the Live More Brand executed its first show in partnership with Sofar Sounds.

Founded in London in 2009, Sofar is a leading music events startup that invites guests to acoustic performances at unique locations in over 400 cities worldwide. Sofar Sounds is a global community of artists, fans, and hosts coming together to create intimate live music experiences in unique, unexpected settings. Both in-person and online, Sofar supports real connections and fosters a culture of discovery by championing up-and-coming artists.

April 2022, Shane and the rest of the corporate Sofar team granted us a community partnership, meaning Live More will be able to curate artist lineups in 8 cities, Toronto, Boston, New York, Philly, Baltimore, DC, Charlotte, and Atlanta. The goal is to diversify and grow the audiences/artists and pick relevant artists fans want to see.

May 7th Show Numbers

Our show on May 7th, held at the Studio Allston Hotel, was the first attempt at the partnership. We saw great performances from Karina Alves, Sneaky Miles, and Stefan Thev. We sold out a 100-cap venue at $26 per ticket. The songs ranged from traditional R&B to contemporary country to alt-rock. We took pride in fans enjoying and discovering new music from our selected lineup.

Our initial post announcing the Sofar partnership received over 6,000 impressions across Instagram and Linkedin. We also received over 200 artist inquiries in the comments and 116 shares of the post on Instagram. As we were releasing our promotional assets the week leading up to the show, our Instagram gained 150 followers.

The promotional strategy for May 7th was to create jarring artwork that also did not reveal who the artist was prior to the show. We asked fans to guess who they thought would be performing to increase engagement.

We also got 40 photos and recap videos for the artists to use as marketing content.
